According to You, the material may make it possible to decrease the size of computer chips significantly, as well as increase the flexibility of cardiotachometers to make them better able to cope with folding and bending.
As a molecular material, the perovskite is also highly biologically compatible, making it very safe for use as a medical implant.
Other possible applications for the new material include sensors, human-computer interaction technology, micro electro mechanical systems, nano robots and active flexible electronics.
