College students' innovation and entrepreneurship win national favor

Students from East China’s Jiangsu province stood out at the finals of the third China College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Xi’an, Shaanxi province on Sept 18.
Teams from Nanjing University and Southeast University, two leading universities in Jiangsu, won favors from the judges for their innovative development in the industrial application of molecular precisely-regulated radar absorption materials, and a 3-D holographic smart screen respectively.
According to Zhou Quan, leader of the Southeast University team, the 3-D holographic screen is a sophisticated device that absorbs formats like 2-D videos and graphics and converts them into 3-D materials.
The advanced technology according to Zhou allows the device to be put into practice for various advertorial and promotional purposes, such as displays at exhibitions, cinemas, shopping malls, airports and hotels.
Zhou announced the device has wide popularity among local and foreign companies, including automotive enterprises such as BMW, Benz and Honda. Other companies such as Suning and Coca Cola have also established long-term cooperation intention with the team.
