Lao students studying at Huaiyin Institute of Technology (HYIT) in Huaian, Jiangsu province attended a tea forum on Nov 25 to renew the traditional friendship between China and Laos.
HYIT teachers, as well as officers from the local exit and entry administration attended the tea forum.
Inspired by China and Laos’ close connections, especially President Xi Jinping’s visit to Laos last month, the students enjoyed an easy atmosphere while sharing their country’s history and development.
The teachers also shared their ideas on China’s all-round foreign policies and briefed the students about the various achievements HYIT has made in recent years to promote international exchanges. Officers from local exit and entry administration urged the students to follow Chinese laws, study hard and live safely and happily in China.
The students in turn expressed their gratitude to HYIT, for its consideration to help cover both their study and daily lives. They were also proud of China and Laos’ close connections and hoped to make contributions to the two countries in the future.
