Jiangsu students triumph in innovation and entrepreneurship

Higher learning institutions from Jiangsu province achieved fruitful results at the fourth China College Students' Internet + Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Xiamen, Fujian province, from Oct 13 to 15.
A total of 10 gold, 11 silver, and 16 bronze awards were added to the hall of fame, including two gold medals for Changzhou Vocational Institute of Light Industry and Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute, the only two vocational school winners.
Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan gave a thumbs-up to the bumblebee project proposed by Nanjing University, which, by taking advantage of bumblebee pollination, can ensure better yield and quality for agricultural products.
The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education also received an award for its organizing the previous elimination stages.
A competition initiated in 2015 with growing popularity, this year's edition welcomed an unprecedented 2.65 million participants in 640,000 teams from 2,278 colleges and universities across the country. It has developed feasible integration between people's daily lives and diversified mobile internet technologies.
