On the morning of February 14, entrusted by Mr. Shen Jian, Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Deputy Director-General Ding Xiaochang attended a hearing of the work report by Dr. Peter Stokes, Chair of Academic Committee of the SuOn College and Dr. Yang Xiaobo, vice president of the SuOn College, together with other delegates. Directors of relevant offices and units, leaders of Jiangsu Education Service for International Exchange were present at the hearing.

After the report, Mr. Ding gave full credit to SuOn College. He appreciated its achievements in short-term construction, in particular in implementing and carrying out Four Instructions by Dr. Shen, training teachers and education administrators from Jiangsu Province, researching based on training and advertising Jiangsu. Mr. Ding asked the delegates to express his thanks to the Chinese and foreign staffs of SuOn College for their hard work. Then Mr. Ding requested further strengthening of SuOn College’s management. He asked the college, to open up and innovate continuously, embed training into course teaching and management sites, by following Dr. Shen’s instructions on SuOn College’s construction. Thus the college will meet the needs of Jiangsu Province in the areas of education, culture, exchange and training in a more sound way. Besides, Mr. Ding hoped that the college can make further improvements in project expansion and deepening and play a better role in deepening development of Jiangsu and Ontario exchange. Finally, Mr. Ding demanded the relevant offices and units to further increase their efforts to support SuOn College’s work and development, providing necessary conditions for brand building of SuOn College. As to JESIE, he said it should strengthen its management of SuOn College and help SuOn to expand its business to other provinces of China.

Mr. Lin Yue, Dirctor of JESIE, on behalf of JESIE and SuOn College, expressed his thanks to leaders of JPDE and relevant offices and units. He stated that JESIE will implement and carry out the instructions of the meeting, enhance its management of SuOn College and build SuOn College into an international exchange and teacher training brand.
